"Queen Hatshepsut"


Queen Hatshebsut is one of the most famous and powerful queens who ruled Egypt

She is the fifth in the sequence of kings of the Eighteenth Dynasty and is the eldest daughter of King Thutmose the Son

She is known as Ghatem Amun and her name means Concubine of Amun

She was born in 1508 BC


Hatshepsut is considered the legitimate heir

As she shared with her father in ruling the country and took over the rule after the death of her husband, King Thutmose II.


Queen Hatshepsut studied behavioral sciences, ethics, arithmetic, reading, writing, grammar and composition in addition to the correct religious ritual

Queen Hatshepsut carried out many works, the most important of which are:

She opened many mines and quarries, the most important of which was the copper mine in the Sinai Peninsula

Commercial activity was activated as she reused the canal linking the Red Sea and the Nile River

_ She ordered the construction of a number of buildings, including the Karnak Temple and her own temple in Deir el-Bahari in Luxor

_ She ordered the construction of large sea ships to stimulate the movement of the Egyptian commercial fleet

Queen Hatshepsut died in mysterious circumstances in 1457 BC

After ruling the country for 22 years

Her grave was found in the Valley of the Kings area next to her father's grave
